3/11: dinner with the girls

Enjoyed a wonderful spur-of-the-moment dinner with two fabulous foodie girlfriends - Jennie (ironman triathlete and power lawyer) and Tracy (EMT extraordinaire, fellow wino, and general superstar). Tracy was in town for just one day for a conference and Jennie happened to be free (very rare thing!).
We at at Bungalow 44, local hipster spot, which of course included the requisite Aging Rock Star sighting (some dude who was the drummer for Ozzie Osborne)...

I'm curious... how do you know he is a)a rock star and b) played for ozzie? Were people whispering? Did the waiter say?

I ask because I find it intriguing. A few weeks ago Geraldo Rivera was eating at a restaurant in town and NO ONE was discreet about it. It was like playing telephone at the restaurant. Comical.. in a fun (not snarky) way.

hey there Melissa!

He had that look about him - immediately hit our radar as someone famous trying to look like he was trying to blend in. you know? Here in crazy Marin county, we get a lot of those. But people generally ignore them/let them blend - no big buzz unless it's someone really spectacular.

Anyway, Jennie asked our waitress, who asked the host. Turns out the dude is a regular, and so they knew who he was. I couldn't have picked him out of a lineup if my life depended on it...

I would have totally believed it if he used it as a pick up line on your three babes.

yeah, he was with his wife so I don't think that would have gone over so well. :-)
